Welcome

As medical director of Memorial Inpatient Rehab, allow me to welcome you – our patient and your family and friends – on behalf of the team here at Memorial Medical Center.

With our efforts focused on "Helping People Home After Serious Injury or Stroke," I want to recognize the exceptional services offered here. We have received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in five distinct areas. CARF accreditation is an assurance that the quality of care you'll receive at Memorial Inpatient Rehab meets the most rigorous standards of excellence.

Memorial Inpatient Rehab deploys a multidisciplinary team including rehab nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, healthcare psychologists, a therapeutic recreational specialist and social workers. The compassionate and outcome-oriented team at Memorial Inpatient Rehab observes high standards of care in providing you service.

You and your family are the most important members of the team. Your active input and participation are the keys to your success.

In evaluating, treating and managing patients suffering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury and other rehab-appropriate diagnoses, we strive to meet your rehab goals and progress toward a smooth transition of returning you to your home and community.

We value your feedback in learning about how we met your needs while a patient at Memorial Inpatient Rehab.

We know you have a choice in where you receive healthcare. Thank you for choosing Memorial Inpatient Rehab, where our focus is "Helping People Home After Serious Injury or Stroke."

Sincerely,
Dr. David Gelber
