The Regional Cancer Center offers outpatient infusion services, located on the sixth floor. Patients who are able to walk and participate in their care are eligible to be given cancer treatment on an outpatient basis.
Memorial Medical Center Infusion Services is staffed by specially trained and certified oncology nurses. Chemotherapy in the form of injections or infusions are given in a comfortable setting under the watchful care of the unit nurses.
Infusion Services also treats patients with many different non-cancer diagnoses. Injectable or intravenous therapies such as antibiotics, blood products and hydrating fluids may be given. Ask your doctor if you are a candidate to receive your treatment as an outpatient.
