Dr. Robert C. Burke

Dr. Burke specializes in diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology.

He earned his medical degree at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago and completed an interventional radiology fellowship at University of Chicago Medical Center.

Dr. Burke is board certified in diagnostic radiology with sub-specialty certification in vascular and interventional radiology. He is a clinical instructor with the Department of Radiology at SIU School of Medicine.


Dr. Augusto Elias

Dr. Elias specializes in neurointerventional radiology.  

He earned his doctor of dental surgery degree at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York, N.Y.  He earned his medical degree at Universidad Central Del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  He completed a diagnostic radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship both at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  He completed a neurointerventional radiology fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor. 

Dr. Elias is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, European Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology, American Society of Neuroradiology, European Society of Neuroradiology, Society of Neurointerventional Surgery and the Alpha Omega Alpha.


Dr. David A. Gelber Memorial Neuroscience

Dr. David A. Gelber

Dr. Gelber specializes in neurology, electrodiagnostic medicine and neurorehabilitation and provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment in neurology with special interest in neurorehabilitation, neuromuscular disorders, multiple sclerosis and EMG. He is medical director of the inpatient rehabilitation program at Memorial Medical Center.

He earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his residency in neurology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

He completed a fellowship in neurorehabilitation at SIU School of Medicine and is board certified in neurology, spinal cord injury medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine. Dr. Gelber is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Medical Association, American Society of Neurorehabilitation, Illinois State Medical Society and Sangamon County Medical Society.


Dr. Brian E. Moore

Dr. Moore is a neuropathologist and specializes in central nervous system tumors as well as pathology of the eye, muscle and peripheral nerve.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School - School of Medicine and completed his anatomic pathology residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and Brown University in Providence, R.I.

He completed his neuropathology fellowship at Brown University. Dr. Moore is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic pathology with subspecialty certification in neuropathology. He is a member of the Admissions Committee, the Year 2 Curriculum Committee and is unit director for the Year 2 Neuromuscular and Behavioral course at SIU School of Medicine. Dr. Moore is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and is a fellow in the College of American Pathologists.


Dr. Sajjad Mueed Memorial Neuroscience

Dr. Sajjad Mueed

Dr. Mueed is medical director of the Stroke Center at Memorial Medical Center and specializes in adult neurology.

He earned his medical degree at Quaid-e-Azam Medical College in Pakistan, completed his residency in neurology and fellowships in epilepsy and clinical neurophysicology, and stroke and cerebrovascular diseases at SIU School of Medicine.

An assistant professor at SIU School of Medicine, Dr. Mueed is board certified in psychiatry and neurology, sleep medicine, vascular neurology and electrodiagnostic medicine.


Dr. Casey M. Muehle

Dr. Muehle specializes in interventional radiology.

He earned his medical degree from the University of California at San Diego School of Medicine in LaJolla. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics and completed a fellowship in angiography and interventional radiology at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville.

Dr. Muehle is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in diagnostic radiology with sub-specialty certification in vascular and interventional radiology. He is a clinical associate professor at SIU School of Medicine and is a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America and Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology.


Dr. Craig P. Russo Memorial Neuroscience

Dr. Craig P. Russo

Dr. Russo specializes in neuroradiology and serves as medical director for Memorial Medical Center and Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, N.Y., and completed his diagnostic radiology residency at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse. He compelted a two-year neuroradiology fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in Richmond.

Dr. Russo is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in diagnostic radiology with subspecialty certification in neuroradiology. He is a clinical associate professor with the Department of Radiology at SIU School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, American College of Radiology, Radiologic Society of North America, American Society of Neuroradiology and Alpha Omega Alpha.
