Neurointerventional Radiology

Memorial Medical Center, in an exclusive partnership with Clinical Radiologists, S.C., provides cutting-edge, minimally invasive treatment and diagnostic imaging to treat vascular conditions involving the central nervous system - the brain, spinal cord, head and neck. These techniques effectively treat conditions and result in shorter hospital stays and quicker patient recovery times.

Endovascular Treatment Techniques Include:

  • Neurovascular treatment options for complex aneurysms using a combination of platinum coils, balloons and intracranial stents.
  • Memorial Medical Center has the only neurointerventional radiologist in the central and southern Illinois area providing treatment for aneurysms via the Pipeline stent procedure. The procedure is used in cases where the aneurysm is too large for coils and standard stents.
  • Treatment for brain arteriovenous malformations using liquid embolic agents.
  • Use of a variety of devices to treat ischemic stroke including the administration of tPA and mechanical clot retrieval.
