Hearing Center

It is estimated that more than 28 million people in the United States have some form of hearing loss. Yet, many of these people -- especially those with a mild to moderate loss -- are unaware that they have a problem. It often goes unnoticed because hearing loss is almost always painless and usually occurs gradually.

Hearing loss can hamper quality of life, cause misunderstandings, heighten stress and cause unnecessary fatigue. It is the third leading ailment afflicting people over 65.

The Hearing Center at Memorial Medical Center offers:

  • Complete diagnostic audiological and hearing aid evaluations.
  • Pediatric evoked potentials.
  • Otoacoustic emission screenings.
  • Follow-up newborn hearing evaluations.
  • Hearing protective devices.
  • Employment hearing screenings.
  • Speechmapping hearing aid analysis.
  • Hearing aids (including computer programmable and digital models) and assistive listening devices such as telephone or television amplifiers and other sound enhancement devices.
  • Hearing aid batteries and accessories.
  • Repair on most brands of hearing aids.
  • Special consultations upon request.
