Gingerbread Cookies

Gingerbread cookiesThe sweet smell of delicious gingerbread cookies fills the air at the Festival of Trees. Using their secret recipe, Jubelt's Bakery and Restaurant in Litchfield, makes 15,500 hand-cut gingerbread men. Then our Festival volunteers decorate each cookie by hand, just for you.

The cookies are available at the Gingerbread Bakery during the Festival for $3.50 each while supplies last. Enjoy milk with your cookie for $1 a carton.

Peanut allergy concerns: Our gingerbread cookies are baked by Jubelt's Bakery in Litchfield, Illinois. While peanuts are not an ingredient in the cookies, the bakery does bake other products at the bakery that do contain peanuts.

Ingredient alert: Cookies contain wheat flour, sugar, spices, eggs and vegetable oil (soy bean). Icing contains sugar, palm oil, high fructose corn syrup, corn starch, nonfat milk and citric acid preservatives.

Gingerbread Village

Gingerbread VillageThe Gingerbread Village features a grand display of more than 50 handmade and entirely edible gingerbread structures. A model train also winds through the impressive exhibit of gingerbread homes, shops and buildings. All of the gingerbread entries can be bid on through silent auction during the Festival.

Children and adults are invited to create their own entry for the Gingerbread Village. Visit the Design page if you are interested in creating a gingerbread structure.
