Memorial Medical Center Foundation to Hold Gala to Help Hospice Patients Fulfill Their Wishes

Tickets are now on sale for the sixth annual Sharing Wishes Hospice Gala sponsored by the Memorial Medical Center Foundation to raise donations for a fund that helps fulfill the wishes of central Illinois hospice patients.

The gala will open its doors at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the Crowne Plaza, 3000 S. Dirksen Parkway, Springfield; a cash bar will be available. A welcome and dinner start at 7 p.m.

The deadline to buy tickets is Tuesday, March 28.

Retired Lt. Col. Rob "Waldo" Waldman, known as The Wingman, will be the keynote speaker at the gala. He is a professional leadership speaker and author of The New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller, "Never Fly Solo."

Proceeds from the event benefit the Sharing Wishes Fund, which provides funding to make the wishes of hospice patients in central Illinois become a reality. The Memorial Medical Center Foundation established the fund in 2012. More than 250 wishes have been granted since the fund’s inception.
