Service of Remembrance

Memorial Medical Center will host an interfaith Service of Remembrance on Sunday, Nov. 2, at the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Parish Life Center in Springfield.

The service is for families and friends of patients who have died at Memorial Medical Center. The ceremony is also open to parents who have lost a child during pregnancy.

The service will begin at 2 p.m. followed by the planting of a “memory bush” on the church grounds.

The Service of Remembrance also provides an opportunity for staff and physicians to remember the patients for whom they cared and to celebrate their lives with family and friends.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Parish Life Center is at 2477 W. Washington St.
