Elder Care Day is a special preview of the Festival for seniors and other adults living in group, assisted living or nursing homes. Held the week before the Festival opens to the public, this year's Elder Care Day is Thursday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy live entertainment, shopping in the boutique and even a visit from Santa.
The Elder Care Day admission fee is $3. Aides and bus drivers also will be charged a $3 admission fee. Reservations are required.
Four lunch options are available for $6. Other items will not be available from the kitchen. Gingerbread cookies will be available for $3 in the Gingerbread Bakery. Seating for lunch is limited and reservations are required.
Payment for admission and lunch is due at check-in. Cash, check and credit cards are accepted. Make checks payable to Festival of Trees.
Please note, not all areas of the Festival will be open on Elder Care Day. Adults 65 and older are welcome to attend the Festival's Senior Day, Tuesday Nov. 24. There is a reduced admission price but there are no meal discounts or reserved seating arrangements available for groups from an assisted living facility or nursing home.
You also can make a reservation by completing the Elder Care Reservation Form.
If you have to cancel your reservation, please call the Festival of Trees office at 217-788-4301 as soon as possible. Space is limited and other facilities may be on the waiting list.
