Patient Letters

You treated me more like a friend than a stranger/anonymous patient.

I was a guest at your fine establishment last week. I left my right kidney in the OR and then came up to see you all for a while. You were wonderful to me.

Everybody was great at their jobs. You treated me more like a friend than a stranger/anonymous patient. You were efficient but gentle. Even the nurse who took out my catheter was as worried about the pain as I was (by the way, I believe the whole catheter thing is a clear violation of the Geneva Convention).

The next time I drop a kidney—wait, I can’t do that twice! The next time anyone I know needs some work on their kidneys, I’m going to tell them to go to the fifth floor at MMC. You are terrific. Thanks a million.
