Partial Hospitalization Program
Everyone has problems of some kind, but when problems mount to cause family chaos and interfere with the daily demands of life, professional help may be needed. Our skilled and caring clinical staff can help individuals experiencing depressive and/or anxiety symptoms that are interfering with everyday life.
The Partial Hospitalization Program is designed for adults ages 18 and older who need more frequent and comprehensive therapy than a traditional outpatient setting can provide. It is also appropriate for individuals ready for discharge from an inpatient setting who require structured, intensive therapy. Our team is here to provide that help in a caring and comfortable environment during the day, allowing individuals to return home in the evening and weekends.

Treatment tailored to your needs
Because we know each person who comes to us for help is unique, our staff develops an individualized holistic treatment plan for each participant. The program offers five hours of daily therapy, Monday through Friday, in a highly-structured, goal-oriented setting.
Various types of treatment are provided including group psychotherapy and education groups. Treatment is designed to improve interpersonal skills, manage symptoms, improve coping skills and restore the individual's maximum level of functioning. We encourage family involvement and offer an educational forum for family members and others who provide support.
For individuals with depression who may also have issues with alcohol, substance abuse or eating disorders, we have specialized professional staff available to provide services in these areas.
Our treatment team
Our treatment team includes the participant's attending psychiatrist, social workers, therapists, a registered nurse, certified drug and alcohol counselors, and recreational therapists, a dietitian and our own chaplain. Participants have access to a full complement of behavioral experts in addition to all major medical specialties and hospital services. It represents the best in outpatient, hospital-based resources as an alternative to 24-hour inpatient care.
Referrals and admissions
Referrals to our program can be made by any physician, health professional, social service agency, family member or by the individual requesting care. Referrals can be made Monday through Friday by calling the program. Prior to admission, our staff will conduct a screening, at no charge to the client, and develop a personalized plan of care. The participant's care is guided by a psychiatrist. If you are not currently under the care of a psychiatrist, with your involvement, our staff will assist in enlisting a physician's services.
Because participants are at home on weekday evenings and weekends, fees are lower than those associated with 24 hour inpatient services. Most insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid provide coverage for partial hospitalization. Individuals should review their insurance policies or contact their insurance provider to determine coverage. We are happy to help facilitate this process.
Planning for continuing care
Our treatment team works closely with each patient to develop an aftercare plan for continuing care following partial hospitalization. This often requires coordinating a variety of therapeutic and community resources. We are happy to work with the participant's family, outpatient therapist and family physician, when appropriate, to make sure the needed support services are in place. Planning for this continuation of support begins at admission and continues after discharge.
