On November 22, 1961 ALMH opened the doors to the Pink Shutter Thrift Shop in a house on Pulaski Street in Lincoln. At the time, it was created to help purchase needed equipment for the new hospital. Now the Pink Shutter Thrift Shop is located in historic downtown Lincoln at 114 N. McLean Street.
