Passavant Hosting End of Life Wishes Presentation
It's difficult to talk with your loved ones about end-of-life wishes. These discussions don't have to be uncomfortable. Memorial Home Services Hospice is providing a special community event to help.
Memorial Home Services Hospice is presenting their community event on Thursday, Sept. 4, 6 to 8 p.m. in Meeting Rooms 2 and 3 at Passavant Area Hospital.
Ronda Dudley, director of Home Health and Hospice, will direct the event and lead a discussion on the film, "Consider the Conversation: A Documentary on a Taboo Subject." Dudley will reveal how participants can open the discussion to learn about a loved one's end-of-life wishes. Sarah Karraker, a licensed clinical social worker from Passavant, will also participate in the program. Karraker will talk about advance directives and provide take-home planning materials for families.
A light dinner is provided for participants. To register, please call (217) 479-5800, by Tuesday, Sept. 2.
