The third annual Memorial Hospice Gala will be held on Saturday, April 12, at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, Illinois. Enjoy an evening of dinner, music, a silent auction and entertainment featuring keynote speaker, Steve Ford.
Proceeds from the Gala and silent auction benefit the Sharing Wishes Fund, which helps make wishes come true for hospice patients and their families. "Whether it's a special family-and-friends gathering or a visit from a distant loved one, your donation can help make the wish of a hospice patient become a reality," said Elena Kezelis, Executive Director of Memorial Medical Center Foundation.
The goal of hospice is to focus on quality of life for every patient. As a team, hospice works to enhance this quality of life physically, emotionally and spiritually. "Much time is spent reflecting with patients and families about their memories, hopes and dreams. With the help of the Sharing Wishes Fund, we have fulfilled the wishes of many hospice patients," added Kezelis.
Approximately 400 people attended last year's gala and the event raised nearly $17,0000 in support of the Sharing Wishes Fund.
Please make plans to attend the 2014 event! Purchase tickets online or by calling (217) 788-4700.
