The Wilma Fricke Endowment Fund
The Wilma Fricke Endowment Fund was established by Wilma's family as a surprise in honor of her 85th birthday.
Wilma began her nursing career as a registered nurse in the surgical unit at Memorial Hospital in 1947. She retired in 1990 after serving in a variety of roles: head nurse on the sixth and seventh floors; associate director of nursing services; nursing coordinator; nursing clinician; and in-service director. She continues to serve the organization as a Memorial Medical Center volunteer and at Memorial's Festival of Trees.
Proceeds from the fund will be used annually to recognize the Wilma Fricke Memorial Nurse of the Year.
