Memorial Hospice Gala - sponsored by Memorial Medical Foundation
Memorial's Hospice Gala a Success
Approximately 300 people attended Memorial's inaugural Hospice Gala held Saturday, March 31, at Northfield Inn & Suites.
The evening featured nationally recognized keynote speaker and humorist Greg Risberg, CSP, MSW who presented an engaging and inspirational message of "Humor, Hugs and Hope."
Proceeds from the Gala and silent auction will benefit the newly established Sharing Wishes Fund, which helps make wishes come true for hospice patients and their families. "Whether it's a long-desired trip, a special family-and-friends activity, or a visit from a distant loved one, we want to turn dreams into a reality," said Elena Kezelis, Executive Directof of Memorial Medical Center Foundation.
The goal of hospice is to focus on quality of life for every patient. As a team, hospice works to enhance this quality of life physically, emotionally and spiritually. "Much time is spent reflecting with patients and families about their memories, hopes and dreams. With the help of the Sharing Wishes Fund, we will be able to fulfill some of the last wishes of our terminally ill hospice patients," added Kezelis.
Nearly $25,000 has been raised so far for the fund. If you would like to help make the wishes of our hospice patients come true, donate to Memorial's Sharing Wishes Fund today.
